Cheering and staples...

Our little girls did the junior cheerleading clinic at Windsor High School last week.  They were so cute!  Katie was the youngest girl there and she was absolutely hilarious!  She was usually about half a step behind all the others because she would watch what they were doing and then copy them.  Emily did a lot better this time than she did last time.  They had a lot of fun!  The cheerleaders were so good with all of the girls.  It brought back some memories of the "good old days".  Apparently Blogger won't let me upload the video of their performance for some reason but here are some pictures of them:

Then this weekend Brandon and Douglas were playing football together and Brandon got hurt.  Douglas accidentally tackled him right onto a big metal water line thingy we have in our front yard.  Luckily the gash wasn't very long so it only took 2 staples to close it up.  Douglas felt soooo bad!
While I was waiting in the Urgent Care waiting room Brandon was telling EVERYONE there about his football injury like he was some kind of hero.  Some guy asked him if it was a good tackle and he said, "Oh yeah, it was a great tackle."  Then the guy asked him if dad was in trouble and Brandon said, "Oh Dad's in trouble but Dad is ALWAYS in trouble."  HA!  At least he was in a good mood or the almost four hours we spent there would have been completely intolerable.  Since when is a kid who needs stitches or staples in his head put behind people with the flu on the priority list?  Oh well, at least it's done and they come out next week (which is probably a good thing since I keep catching him trying to get magnets to stick to his head).
