Field trip to the Cozy Cow!

Brandon's preschool class went to the Cozy Cow Dairy today and it was so fun! The kids all had a blast. Of course it was nothing new for my kids but most of those kids had never seen a cow up close before. They also had baby goats that the kids got to pet. They were adorable. Their cheese curds are very tasty! I'll have to try their ice cream sometime. Overall it was an exciting day for all the little kiddos. Here are some pics:

Happy Birthday to us!

Well as much as we were trying to escape it, our birthdays came again. At least I know Douglas won't ever forget my birthday since it's the day after his. April is a busy birthday month for us because not only is it our birthdays but also my dad's birthday, Douglas' mom's birthday, and a couple of friends birthdays as well. So I can officially say that we are all caked out! In fact I decided to have brownies instead for my birthday. Douglas decided to have a cake topped with whipped cream and fresh fruit, which is delicious! It was very yummy! And of course mom and dad can't open their presents without our little helpers. But then they had to help us blow out our candles too. They got dad a John Deere wind chime, which will be very annoying after it is actually hung up outside. Brandon also wanted to get him the Crocodile Cutter that supposedly can cut through anything. They got me a new recipe binder, which I desperately needed, and a cupcake pan that makes cupcakes shaped like ice cream cones. It's way cute. Then the frosting looks like the ice cream. Of course I'll have to wait a while to try it out because the thought of more cake makes me want to gag!

Easter 2009

Overall Easter was a big hit at our house. We had a blast coloring all of our eggs and the kids had an even better time finding them. Of course they were pros by them time they were done with their three Easter egg hunts! And the Easter Bunny left baskets of goodies like he always does. But we had to make our own goodies too, like sugar cookies and an Easter Bunny cake. So yummy. I decided to be adventurous and make the girls their Easter dresses this year. It was actually pretty fun and I think they turned out pretty cute. The girls love them, which is really all that matters. Of course now I promised Brandon I would try to make him some camo pants. Of course I think it was fun to also teach the kids the real meaning of Easter and their Savior's love for them. It's great when they actually start to understand those things, even if they have a hard time saying "resurrection". But then Emily says banklet instead of blanket too. They're good kids and I love them more and more every day! Here are some pics. Enjoy the show!
